Tracy Sheen

Entrepreneurship Facilitator

Tracy knew she wanted to be an entrepreneur around the age of five. Both her parents were self-employed, and without having the correct language to explain why, she knew she liked the sense of controlling your own destiny.

Fast forward through Tracy’s career, and you’ll see a person who could never settle into a corporate world. She changed roles regularly, and was always looking for that next skill that she needed to make her a better entrepreneur.

There were two things that did remain constant: The first being a focus on working with entrepreneurs; each of the roles she held during her career allowed her to keep her finger on the pulse of the entrepreneurial landscape. The second constant was that each of her roles always combined marketing and technology.

From selling mobile phones in 1990, through to being involved with the launch of SMS technology. Every major technological step that entrepreneurs have taken throughout the last three decades, Tracy has been a part of.

In 2009 Tracy made her leap from the corporate world to start her own business, with her now husband, Peter. Based from their home in Springfield Lakes, the business (a corporate coffee solutions provider) very quickly made a name for itself, within the mining sector and some of the largest corporate offices throughout Brisbane.

It wasn’t long though, before Tracy began looking back towards marketing and technology. She launched a digital marketing agency and began a podcast (which was the first of its kind in Australia). The agency combined her love of content writing, and her understanding of what entrepreneurs were looking for from their marketing.

She was appointed an advisor for the federally funded Australian Small Business Advisory Service (ASBAS) in 2018, and worked extensively throughout Ipswich, Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim, hosting workshops and providing one-to-one advisory services.

During the early days of the pandemic in 2020, Tracy chose to step back from the business, for six months, to write a book. “The End of Technophobia: A Practical Guide to Digitising Your Business” was launched at the Brisbane Convention Centre during QLD Small Business month in 2021, and went on to win Australia’s Business Book of the Year, and Best Technology Book.

Tracy has run close to 1000 workshops and webinars, and is an in-demand speaker and regular in the media. In 2022 Tracy became the resident ‘Tech Guru’ for Kochie’s Business Builders TV show.

The role of Entrepreneur Facilitator for Ipswich, Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim is one that Tracy is very excited about. She is looking forward to being out in the regions, on the ground, meeting and working with as many entrepreneurs as possible.

When Tracy is not working, you’ll likely find her with her husband, Peter, building their latest Lego investment or watching Formula One. Tracy has two dogs Obi and Lando, and a black Manx cat called Watson.
